I spent my morning and most of the afternoon traveling to and from Boise for Doctor’s appointments today,  I’m back, but a little worn out from the drive.  Thank heavens for cruise control, because I found out the my bad knee hurts like heck in the driving position, so I used it whenever possible.  I’m thankful that all these extra appointments caused by my cancer diagnosis are almost over.  Another six months and I should be down to annual checks instead of every few months.
Our sidewalk in front of seniors and the office bar, had to be replaced, again.  Apparently the concrete wasn’t dry enough when they put the tarps over it the first time and the rebar they laid on top of it sank into the concrete leaving sunken areas that looked exactly like rebar when it dried.
I’m hoping that this time the work will be perfect  and we can finally start using our front door again.  I guess, concrete cures differently when its colder than when it’s hot.  Maybe this Wednesday it will be ready and you can once again park in front of the building. Look for the cones, if they are there, you will have to use the back entrance.
Tomorrow is the real day for Halloween, I don’t expect that there will be any trick or treaters in my neighborhood, but Isn’t there usually a Trunk or treat night up at the LDS church?  I certainly hope so, but I haven’t seen any notices in the paper, have you?
This next Sunday, November 5th is the end of Daylight savings time!  So remember to turn your clocks back and hour before going to bed Saturday night.  I for one am glad to see the time change.  It might make it a bit easier to get up in the mornings.  How about you, what do you think?
Tuesday, November 14   is our next shopping trip to Ontario, and the sign-up sheet is on the front table, if you want to go, please put your name on the list.  November’s board meeting  will be on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:30 in the back room at US Bank.  Among other things we will be discussing our annual meeting and nominations for open board seats.  If you would like to be considered, please let someone on the board or me know.  Time is of the essence.
