Weiser School District
From the Weiser School District website about the flu here locally. Also attached below, the CDC flyer about how to prevent and treat flu symptoms
The following information was provided by Karma Laan, School Nurse for the Weiser School District:
The flu season is upon us. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) says that all of the United States has wide spread flu activity. We have seen approximately 10 confirmed cases of the flu in our school system. This does not include the kids that possibly have the flu and have not been taken to the doctor or the doctor did not test for the flu virus. So it is best to assume that the Weiser area also has wide spread flu going around.
If your child is experiencing the following symptoms it might be the flu: fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. The school would like to take precautions to help decrease exposure to our students. If your child has a fever please do not send them to school unless the fever is gone for 24 hours without medication.
Please read the following article provided to us by the CDC regarding the flu and the care of your child if you think that they have the flu as well as steps you can take to protect your family from the spread of the virus.
