As The old saying goes, “Better late than never”. I’m referring to the several inches of snow we received yesterday and last night. But, then again this has been such an interesting year weather wise. One thing we haven’t had this year is the below zero weather of past years, which, I can honestly say, I don’t miss at all.
Today is sunny and even though there is snow everywhere, I feel so much better than when it’s cloudy and gloomy looking outside, all I want to do on those days is curl up with a good book or watch movies and that’s exactly all I accomplished yesterday, well outside of my normal chores. This year, I’m so ready for spring! How about you?
March is just around the corner, so to speak and with it a new shopping trip to Ontario. Tuesday, March 13th is the day of our next trip and if you want to go, just contact me here at the center or come in and sign in on our signup sheet at the front table.
Marilyn Billings, has been coming in to do our blood pressure clinic. Our readings on our BP machine have been high though and I think it’s because our cuff is too small. I need to find another arrangement before our next BP clinic on Wednesday, March 28th.
I spoke with Pat Flores, this morning and the next time she will be here for a foot clinic will be on Monday, March 26th. If you missed this month or just want an appointment, you guessed it, just call the center and I will get you on the list. That number is 208-257-3358.
When I proof read them menu’s in last week’s paper, I missed a comma and it sounded like we were having Chicken heads for lunch on Wednesday, February 28th. We are not serving chicken heads for lunch. Grammar and Punctuation is so important in written communications.
We are having Oven fried chicken thighs on Wednesday, with mashed potatoes and gravy, Corn, Coleslaw, rolls and Oatmeal cake. On Friday March 2nd, Ursula is making Sloppy Joe Sandwiches, French fries, salad, peaches and dessert.
On Wednesday, March 7th , Ursula is making Roast pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad and cream cheese sheet cake. On Friday, March 9th we are serving chicken enchiladas, with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, Spanish rice, salad, pears and dessert.
