Mia Stender has been an active member of the Weiser FFA Chapter since her freshman year of high school. This year, Mia earned her State FFA Degree at the State Leadership Conference in Twin Falls. She has held the office of Chapter Reporter and will serve as Chapter Student Advisor this coming year. She’s maintained her Supervised Agricultural Experience with her grass fed cattle operation throughout high school as well as working two part-time jobs.
Mia was most recently selected as the Western Idaho District President. The selection committee consisted of the district office holders and a representative from each Western Idaho District chapter, which is made up by Cambridge, Council, Emmett, Fruitland, Midvale, New Plymouth, Parma, Payette, and Weiser. Leading up to the interview, Mia studied FFA facts and history as well as the leadership roles and names of local and state officers. She is honored to be serving as the Western Idaho District President. Mia will be a senior at Weiser High School in the fall, where she is also Student Body President. She plans on pursuing a career in Agricultural Education at the University of Idaho.
