Christmas is the season of loving, caring and giving to others.  The people of Weiser are known for the embodiment of this spirit year-round.  The community service groups are shining examples with their long and impressive history in this small town, USA.

One such group is the Weiser Elks Lodge BPOE #1683, located at 38 W. Idaho St.,  chartered in November, 1945. The Elks welcome men and women.  In addition, they have the Ladies of the Elks (LOE), established about 1950, whose members  have a relative or partner who is an Elk.

The Elks, who are known for their public service projects and contributions to local causes , have made the LOE an integral part of their organization.  The ladies assist in promoting social, charitable, and fraternal activities.

Operating year-round, with annual events, ongoing fund-raising activities, dinners at the lodge, catering  and contributions to worthy causes in our community, these ladies are a viable part of the Elks lodge as they also make regular donations to the lodge for equipment to maintain and upgrade the lodge.

Donations from the Weiser Elks Lodge and the LOE benefit  Angel Wings, Betty Heise, Rose Advocates, Parkside Elementary School, Veterans Administration, Down & Under Sports, Robotics, Arrowheart meal services, to name a few.   Scholarships are also a regular part of the Elks’ community service programs.

There are social events at the Elks Lodge, many of them open to the public.  Throughout the year,  they honor mothers, fathers, veterans,  and first responders by inviting them as guests to dinners  put on in their honor on their special day.

Annually, there are activities during Fiddlers’ Festival Week, the Harvest Ball, and the New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance.  On a weekly basis, there is Bingo, and food is served two nights a  week.

Catered events are available to the public, as well as members of the Elks.  The catering service is flexible to accommodate large or small parties.  This service can be used for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, showers, family reunions, etc.  The staff will work with you to be sure that your party is a memorable event that fits your taste and your budget.

For members ,  there is also the annual Picnic in the Park,  bimonthly pinochle and various card games. A Christmas Party in mid-December plus an evening of fun and fine dining is in the planning stages for LOE.  Socializing nightly is enjoyed by members as the lodge is open evenings, Tuesday through Saturday.   There is also food served nightly, with pizza and beer available on nights when there is no dinner being served.

New members are always welcome!   If you are interested in finding out more about this amazing group,   we could arrange to have you visit the Lodge as a guest.  You are encouraged to contact the Elks for more information.  Call the Lodge at 1-208-549-9922 to leave your contact information.  We will happily return your call.
