The end of another month and I hope you all have been enjoying the cooler weather. It won't be long, of course, when it will be hot and our delightful spring will just be a memory. Graduations are pretty much over and I hope you have great plans to connect with the kiddos again.

Fourth of July festivities are coming next week in Midvale and fireworks in Cambridge after dark. We will have the van in the Midvale parade and if you are interested in a ride to Midvale for the day, be at the Center by 8am on 7/4th and you can ride the van and we'll bring you back after the BBQ lunch. Lots of fun activities going on that day – look for posters around town.

We are currently having a rifle raffle. Remington 783 RFL 22B 30-06 with scope. Matte blue, bolt action, black synthetic stock, 22” barrel length, mounted 3-9X 40mm scope, supercell recoil pad, cross-fire adjustable trigger. Only 200 tickets will be sold; drawing in September; $10 each. Purchase your ticket(s) from Senior Center members or at the office. Good luck.

Upcoming lunch/dinner menus are: Weds. 6/26 – fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, coleslaw, rolls and carrot cake. Fri. 6/28 – clam chowder, turkey sandwich, green salad, strawberries and dessert. Weds. 7/3 – BBQ pork, macaroni salad, mixed veggies, rolls, berry shortcake

Why not bring a new or old friend to the Center for lunch? We love new faces of any age and like to hear where people are from, what brought them to the Upper Country and how we can help make them welcome.

Until next time, keep cool and make good memories.
