The Weiser High School Girls Volleyball Team participated in a service project on Friday, August 16th at the Star Theater in Weiser. The historic theater is currently owned and operated by the Illustrious Onion Skin Players. Weiser’s elite volleyball team is coached by Lindsay Grant and Michelle Estes who contacted the Onion Skins to offer their assistance. The Onion Skins players are currently renovating the historic star theater with new paint and more comfortable seating. With the help of over 25 volleyball players the theater received new paint on the interior and exterior walls, clean seats and help organizing props and cutting material for costuming. The Onion Skin Players would like to extend a very special thank you to the volleyball team for their service and support and for giving back to our sweet community. Good Luck to our Lady Wolverines as they start their new season this year. Don’t miss the their first match next week on August 29th home versus Baker starting at 4:30 PM. It’s always a Great Day to be a Wolverine!
If any groups, organizations, families or individuals would like to help at the historic Star Theater, the next service days are August 24, 30 and 31 starting at 8:30 AM. Also if you want to buy historic chairs, call (208) 550-5685.
