On September 4, 2019 two occupants in an aircraft were going down south of the Weiser Airport, landing in a farmer’s field.

The aircraft landed in a grain stubble field on the corner of River Dock Rd. and Hansen Rd. After the pilots engine failed in his aircraft he attempted to make an emergency landing at the Weiser Airport, but they were unable to turn the runway lights on.

During the emergency landing the aircraft clipped the power lines on Hansen Rd. Idaho Power and Weiser Rural Fire were called to the scene. Weiser Rural did traffic control while Idaho Power secured the broken lines.

There were no injuries of the pilot or copilot as well as no significant property damage.
