Announcing “Piper Pretties”, a new start up business, as of September 2019 by Kris Piper! Kris is a married, 46 year old empty-nester who has lived in Midvale for the last 20 years with her husband Jerry and 3 daughters. They recently married off their youngest daughter, Maddie, in March. Kris began to accept her new empty nester reality much better when the first grandson was born two years ago, and decided that this might just be an acceptable trade-off.
“I’ve always loved creating and crafting, and I’ve always loved wreaths, but the true “obsession” began when our grown daughters and their husbands were coming home for Labor Day this year. The girls and I all decided to enjoy a craft day together making fall wreaths. I just plain ordered too many supplies, and rather than return the unused supplies, I decided to keep making wreaths after the girls left. I loved it so much that I decided to turn it into a business, making very unique wreaths, most including a sign or sentiment, elevating the already warm and welcoming wreath aesthetic. Cambridge Lumber supplies the wood, and the vinyl lettering is ordered from the amazing Idaho Custom Designs business in Weiser, for most of the wreath signs.
Gratefully, the support from our wonderful little communities has been SO positive and generous! Some ladies have even presented some custom order requests, and they’ve been a fun challenge. Some of my favorite wreaths that I’ve seen over the years have been priced at well over $100, which is hard to justify, so I try to keep my prices accessible, while keeping the material and construction quality high. My styles range from farmhouse or rustic to whimsical. They make amazing gifts! There are currently quite a few wreaths for the holidays on my website: piper-pretties.com and the promo code PUMPKIN at checkout will earn you a 25% discount on any wreath order. Please follow me on facebook at: https://facebook.com/gluegunblisters and add my website piper-pretties.com to your favorites! You can also view and purchase some of these wreaths in person at The Coffee Cabin in Midvale, and at Hells Canyon Adventures in Cambridge.”
