Gobble, gobble, gobble, boom. We thank you Mr. Turkey for this meal.

The center's Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving dinner will be TUES 11/26. The center will be closed for the rest of the week so we can all recoop from dinner and black Friday. I know what I'm doing on black Friday – hibernating!

Tues 11/26 is the day to pick up the rolls you ordered (and paid for) for your dinner on Thurs.

There will be no BUNCO in Dec - the next one is Jan 17. I have not heard so assume that pinochle games will continue as usual.

Weds. Dec 4th is our annual meeting day. We are scheduled to vote for the upcoming 2 vacancies on the board for the next three years. So far we have 4 people interested in serving: Pat Davenport, Karen Atteberry, Nina Hawkins and Linda Whitlatch. If you are interested in serving on the board, contact Janice to catch your hat as you throw it in the ring.

On Fri Dec 6th at 4:00 we will be putting up bags of candy for the school kids on behalf of the Cuddy Ramblers. This is an annual project and takes about 20-30 minutes. If you are interested in joining us, come on down then; all candy, bags, etc are provided. I believe the Upper Country Singers concert is that night also.

Norma Rose and Shannon Williams are spearheading the Upper Country food baskets for Christmas again this year. I'm not sure of the date they will be packaging the baskets/boxes but will keep you posted. I do know that they plan to use the Exhibit Hall to stage the activity. Their volunteer group usually delivers 30-40 boxes in the Upper Country so this effort directly benefits our local people. Good job gals.

The center's next Ontario shopping trip is Tues. Dec 10th. Your last van trip for naughty and nice gifts. Call Janice to get on the list to go – should be fun. Wear your favorite ugly Christmas sweater – after all, the people in the stores aren't going to know who you are and you may spark a chuckle as you shop. Spread the cheer. Reindeer antlers, red noses and bells on your ears are not out of line either. I usually pin green tinsel garland in my hair and my van sports a wreath on the her front. Enjoy.

Our next board meeting is Weds, Dec. 11th 10:30 at the bank conference room. You are most welcome to visit..

On Tues Nov 26th Jack and Elsie Coburn have to go down below for an appointment and will not be available to set up things for our dinner. If one or two of you can come in early (10:30-11:00) to help us set up, that would be great.

Our extended menu looks like this. Tues Nov 26 (noon) our annual Thanksgiving dinner – turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy, baby peas and onions, rolls, J-ello salad, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Fri. Nov 29th – the Center is closed. Weds. Dec. 4th (noon) roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, carrots, rolls, salad and banananananna (computer elves have struck) bars.

Bless us one and all and have a very joyous Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving Day.
