I applaud the county not making masks mandatory. Since when did common sense die? If you want to wear a mask you have my unwavering support. If you want to smoke, it's your choice. If you want to eat fried foods, have at it.
We have allowed our government to dictate what we can and cannot do on the premise it's for our own good. I still believe that I can make better choices than the government about my health.
My 97 year old mother is in the care center and the extra caution taken is necessary as they are in the most vulnerable category. If you are vulnerable or nervous about the virus, stay home, wear a mask, ask your family or neighbors for assistance.
This coronavirus is very serious but so is double pneumonia, the flu bug, driving under the influence, texting while driving, along with many other things. They say if you don't comply you are putting the health care system under duress. So...wear a mask and quit smoking, wear a mask and quit drinking, wear a mask and quit eating too much, and wear a mask and don't do drugs. This will help the health care system too.
Common sense says to wash your hands, cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough, stay home if you don't feel well, and feel free to wear a mask if you want to.
I'll choose to wear one when I FEEL it's in my best interest.
