Win a Traeger Pellet Grill from Angel Wings Network

By C. Lawrence

Angel Wings Network, Inc is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit in Weiser that provides much needed resources and assistance to cancer patients in rural communities.  The agency is run by volunteers who have a special place in their heart for helping others and as a nonprofit, they rely on donations from individuals, businesses, and community members to run their programs.

One of the biggest programs Angel Wings Network provides is a free transportation service.  “Wheels to Recovery” is a volunteer service that provides a free ride for cancer patients who have no other means to travel to their lifesaving treatments.  They offer fuel cards to patients and caregivers to help offset the cost of traveling back and forth as well as a volunteer driver for those who need it.  In 2019, our volunteers drove an incredible 17,018 miles to transport cancer patients as well as provide outreach services for Angel Wings Network, Inc.

Due to COVID-19, fundraising has been especially difficult for the Angel Wings volunteers.  They have been unable to perform their biggest annual fundraisers to bring in donations due to the in-person restrictions.  In an effort to make up for some of the lost opportunities, volunteers are holding a give-away.  As a fundraiser this year, Angel Wings Network is giving away a Traeger Pellet Grill!  The grill also comes with a large bag of pellets!  A donation of $25.00 will get your name entered into the drawing.  Only 100 tickets will be available, so the odds of winning are even better!  Here’s how to donate:

Go to www.angelwingsnetwork.net and click on the menu “How to Give”.  Next, click on the “Donate Now” option and fill out the donation form.  The first 100 donations of $25.00 will be entered into the drawing.

The second option to donate is to call the office at 208-414-9464 and leave a message.  A volunteer will get back to you ASAP and arrange a time to meet with you at the office to receive your donation.

A name will be drawn on September 26th, 2020!  Good luck!

Angel Wings Network volunteers, and executive director Mabel Dobbs, wish to thank the community for their continued love and support of this cause.  Without your help, they couldn’t help our friends, neighbors, and community members who are in need of cancer resources.
